RS PRO Black Nylon Rod, 1 m x 40 mm DiameterThis black nylon rod is durable and hard-wearing for heavy-duty industrial applications. It measures 1 metre in length and has a diameter of 40 mm.Made from extruded nylon 6 and containing molybdenum disulfide, this rod is highly impact-resistant and abrasion-resistant. It can withstand harsh conditions such as exposure to UV light and chemicals, and it’s suitable for use at temperatures of up to +160C. It has a tensile strength of 75 MPa and can be easily welded, bonded, machined and polished.Part of the RS PRO series, this product is tested for quality and safety. It has a flammability rating of UL 94 HB from Underwriters Laboratories, so it’s self-extinguishing. It also meets the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) standard DIN 50 014 for corrosion resistance.You’ll commonly find this nylon rod used in industrial applications involving pulleys, castors, gears and bearings.
